A Sneak Preview Screening

We
are proud to present a special screening of Crusader Entertainment's
feature film, Children on their Birthdays, starring Sheryl
Lee (Twin Peaks), Christopher McDonald (Family Law),
Tania Raymonde (Malcolm in the Middle), and Tom Arnold (Exit
Wounds). Celine Dion sings its title song, "I Have to Dream."
Based
on the classic short stry by baster storyteller Truman Capote, Children
on Their Birthdaysis a tale of true friendship, dreams, first
love, and coming of age. Set in the stifling heat of Medda, Alabama
in 1947, th story centers around Billy Bob Murphy and Preacher Star,
two 13-year-old boys who are battling for the affections of the
mysterious and newly arrived Lily Jane Bobbit. As summer wears on,
it is clear that Billy Bob and Preacher are on a collision course
with one another that could not only destroy their friendship, but
the tiny town as well.
After
the screening we will hear from Mark Medoff, the film's director,
Bill Immerman and Ginger Perkins, producers, JD
Hinton and Ross Vannelli co-composers; and Bob Belz,
film consultant. Mr. Medoff is a Tony award-winning playwritng (Children
of a Lesser God), an Academy Award nominated screenwriter (Children),
the author of 26 plays, 11 movies, a novel and an opera. Ms. Perkins
is an award-winning theatrical producer, has owned her own talent
agency, and served as a consultant to the U.S. Film Festival, which
evolved into the Sundance Film Festival. Mr. Immerman served as
V.P.of Business Affairs at Twentieth Century Fox, as Senior V.P.
of Fox's feature film division and has acted as executive producer
of more than ten films. JD Hinton has written songs for major artists
including Seals & Crofts, and for films including Gloria,
starring Sharon Stone. Mr. Vannelli composed and co-produced "I
Just Wanna Stop" for his brother Gino Vannelli. he's also composed
for such films as Tequila Sunrise and Impulse. Bob Belz is president
of the Telos Project, a spriritual resource gropu in Denver, and
works as a consultatn on film and television projects for the Anschutz
Corporation.
