Steve
Oedekerk has quickly established a multi-faceted career that
includes producing, directing, writing, acting, stand-up comedy
and animation. He received a best animated film academy award
nomination for Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius. The success
of Jimmy Neutron has led to a second feature film in the works,
as well as 40 episodes of The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron.
Oedekerks writing credits include The Nutty Professor
and Golden Globe nominated Patch Adams. He has also
written and directed Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls
and Nothing To Lose, starring Tim Robbins and Martin
Lawrence.
Tom
Shadyac began his directing career in 1994 with the breakout-
hit Ace Ventura: Pet Detective starring Jim Carrey.
He then segued into the smash hit The Nutty Professor
that starred Eddie Murphy and re-teamed with Carrey for the
box-office sensation Liar Liar. Shadyac also directed
Robin Williams in Patch Adams; and helmed Kevin Costners
sci-fi thriller Dragonfly. He produces through his
Shady Acres Entertainment banner based at Universal Pictures
and has recently experienced success in prime time television
producing the new comedy series 8 Simple Rules for Dating
My Teenage Daughter.
The evening
will feature excerpts of this dynamic duos current project
slated for nationwide release on May 23rd. Bruce Almighty
stars Jim Carrey as Bruce Nolan, a human interest
TV reporter, who is discontented with almost everything in
life despite his popularity and the love of his girlfriend
Grace (Jennifer Aniston). At the end of the worst day in his
life, Bruce angrily accuses God for not doing his job. God
(Morgan Freeman) responds by appearing in human form and endowing
Bruce with His divine powers, thereby challenging Bruce to
see if he can do it any better. Well also enjoy more
clips from other collaborative films as well as learn how
their faith influences their work.
