THE ART & BUSINESS OF VOICE OVERS

Have you been curious about a career in voice overs?  Many industry myths will be debunked in the course of this forum. Whether you are interested in Animation, Book-on-Tape, Commercial, Narration or Promo, you'll won't want to miss this.

KERI TOMBAZIAN
As one of the top-booking women in voice-overs, KERI TOMBAZIAN is currently the voice of Hamburger Helper, Penzoil, is heard narrating dozens of E! True Hollywood Stories, has long been the fast-talking-legal-voice of Infiniti to name a few. Jeff Danis of International Creative Management has taken her from working-class actress and dj to one of the top female voice artists in the country. At the young age of 18, Keri started as a DJ on KGIL in her hometown of Southern California and built the foundation of what would become a long-standing relationship with her listeners. She’s been a personality at K-EARTH, KMPC Talk Radio, and most notably one of the original on-air personalities on the #1 Smooth Jazz station in the nation: KTWV The Wave. She is in demand as an on-stage host at top concerts and events.  A familiar personality to locals, a nationally known commercial actress, and now a working wife and mother, Keri is lives the concerns of a target demographic in Southern California.

JAMES ARNOLD TAYLOR
Born and raised in Santa Barbara, JAMES ARNOLD TAYLOR began his career at the age of 16 as a stand-up comic. His voice, along with his many original characters and impressions, can be heard all over the country on a daily basis on radio, television, video games, telephone services, even at amusement parks. James has produced in excess of 7000 comedy bits for the Premiere Radio Networks’ syndicated comedy services, which play on morning show radio. He is also one of the promo voices for Fox, and has worked for ABC, CBS, and NBC; voice-doubled for stars such as Michael J. Fox, Christopher Walken, Paul Reiser, Nicolas Cage, and Billy Bob Thornton, to name a few; been the announcer of major campaigns for McDonalds, Disney, Progressive Auto Insurance, and the national phone service AOL MovieFone; and starred in feature animated films and television shows for Disney, Nickelodeon, Warner Bros., and more. Over the last few years, James has found great success in voicing video games. He has done numerous titles including Enter the Matrix, Monsters, Inc., Lord of the Rings, The Fast and the Furious, Ratchet and Clank 2, and the widely popular Final Fantasy X.

MODERATOR
Leading the discussion will be MAC HEALD who, by his own admission, has recorded too many times such cheesy commercial copy as, “… but wait, there’s more! If you call now, you’ll also receive ….” While still engaged as voice talent for several non-profit and para-church organizations (including World Vision, Samaritan’s Purse, World Evangelism, and The Christian Association of PrimeTimers), Mac is primarily a writer of scripts for live events, broadcast promotions and public service spots. He has written 15 hours of television documentaries on biblical subjects, and has hosted the documentary series “The Quest,” filmed on location in the Middle East. He is heard as the narrator on a TV biography special on Michael Chang, and in many of the concerts sponsored by World Vision, Mac narrates documentary-style vignettes that are shown to engage the audience to become child sponsors. He is an elder of Hollywood Presbyterian Church and serves as chair of the Entertainment Ministries Board that oversees Inter-Mission, Actors Co-op, Hollywood Prayer Network and Hollywood 101.
