You are cordially invited for an evening of holiday fun and festivities with special music guest Tata Vega. Tata moved to California and made her way into the musical HAIR. She later became the cornerstone of Andraé Crouch's back-up group and began touring with him internationally. Throughout the eighties she sang back-up for artists such as Chaka Kahn, Madonna, Michael Jackson, Patti LaBelle, Russ Taff, Stevie Wonder and countless others. Perhaps, the pinnacle of the eighties was being the voice of the infamous Shug Avery in THE COLOR PURPLE. This recording led to an Oscar nomination and performance which resulted in many more motion picture soundtracks including THE LION KING, AMISTAD, FORREST GUMP, WAITING TO EXHALE and GLADIATOR.
